so fast, it is 25/9 already, i almost work as biomedical engineer in the hopsital for one year.

today i go to dentist clinic to watch a service engineer to service the Kavo Dental Chair unit made by Gallas, it is actually a quite nice dental chair. one type of germany product. 

imagine when i was young, i used to sleep on the dental chair until it finish.now i realize it is such an expensive equipment, inside has a lot of complicated circuit. The engineer Boon talked about having a cover on the button, (same thing happen in OT), hygiene is first priority wherever it is in contact with the human blood. when the blood begin to dry, then it will be become clot, which is harder the casing, it will cause damage to dental chair. It is under contract service, when the engineer do the service, he changed the O ring and washer, those easily under wear and tear to keep the machine fresh. One thing worth to mention is that when a contract signed as rm 20000 for two year PPM servicing, it means every time the company come to service, hospital will pay rm10000 for each service. When hospital signed the contract, the company will automatically discount 20% for the spare part, provided that not extra charge will occur in breakdown call. somehow, i think it is good for so many company come hospital to service, so i can learn from them. Quite interesting actually. 

Today help to repair the decotion machine, unexpectedly that when you use level bar to meaure the level in limited space, it do not work. you can use spanner thickness to measure the height of the hole. if every part is the same, then it means it is in balance condition. 

Futhermore, today i learn to repair chinese ward the sealer machine. The easily spoilt part, as taught by Mr.Leong, is the micro switch damage and the bottom wire spoilt. It is actually quite a lot work to do. 

tomorrow going to find samsung to repair tv. at the same time, hoping the weighing scale excel company will come to calibrate the weighing scale.

Helping clerk do documentation 24.9.2013

As a biomedical engineer, working in a Tungshin hospital maintenance is never an easy job, but i still feel happy on it. I feel energetic when i can contribute to the society. When I see a person who walk safely throughout our hospital without worrying much on the safety of equipment, i feel excellent.

Sometimes i also get tired, how come people in the office cannot cooperate? they never realize that if they can help each other together, each one will be benefit from the cooperation, in that case, we call it win win situation

In today work, i helped clerk to settle the invoice issues.
I managed to see that Mr.Leong open the wall suction regulator the Penlon one, the casing once you open, you have to use elephant glue to glue back, you have not choice. The only way you can put the casing back, is to use the superglue

Only the adhesive glue can glue the clothes, i help cmd nurse to glue back the bp cuff, originally i plan to use staple however, it may hurt the patient, so i decide to leave it away.

i also settle the deal with bodox seal, one type of seal which used on the pin index

Today we discuss about the light bulb problem on the Stryker X7000 camera system, whether it is an xenon bulb module or just replace one bulb, so i email to hospimetrix technical department hope can get some information



When we criticize others, we should look at ourselves first before finger pointing, i will keep this as principal throughout my life.

after passing ielts with 7.5 in average, i suddenly realize that actually to leave UM is nothing. It actually let me grow, make me stronger. It is correct in this way that what do not kill you will make you stronger. I learn a lot throughout the hospital.

For example, today morning i go to decoction room which has team leader guided it. The task i am given is to solve the malfuction of four decoction machine. The first one i meet is one of the ELCB switch spoilt. The solution i give is to replace the ELCB switch and turned on the machine.
Next, i go to solve the next, which has air leaking from the bottom of steel bar. It actually is sustaintable after i manage to fix it.

afternoon, i go to scope room. the wall suction regulator is malfunction, as the diagpharam are someway stuck in the middle. Then i just cleaned it and replace the canister. It fixed the problem.

The most difficulty problem i face today is the oxygen leakage from the oxygen point on the wall. The oxygen leaked from the pipe. I tried very hard to tighten it but i fail to do it. Finally i decide to ask help from my supervisor Mr.Leong. He managed to open the casing of oxygen panel, by open up the side screw, which nobody can opened it in my department. His efficiency is the one make me admire the most. Imagine i try so hard to fix it for whole day, he solved the problem in just fifteen minutes.

I realized i still not able to cope with his skill, i will try to catch up and will hope one day i manage to reach his level.
